Make it and Mark it: Make a sketchbook and fill it mixed media experiments

Unleash your creativity in this inspiring, hands-on workshop! 

You’ll design and make your own A4 sketchbook, complete with a vibrant, hand-painted canvas cover that’s uniquely yours.

Once your book is bound, we’ll dive into a playful series of guided mark-making and mixed media experiments to fill your pages with texture, colour, and creative energy. Along the way, you’ll learn essential bookmaking techniques that can be adapted to different sizes, styles, and cover designs—perfect for journals, sketchbooks, or art pieces.

This is a fun and relaxed space to explore a variety of materials and processes, from intuitive mark-making to layering mixed media, and leave with a book full of your personal expression. 

No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure!

All materials required for the handmade book will be supplied. I will also provide a wide variety of art materials for you to experiment with during the workshop, including different types of paper, acrylic paint and inks, crayons, wax pastels and other drawing materials.

Saturday 19th July 10.00am- 4.00pm  and Sunday 20th July 9.00am - 3.00pm
